"Rest in Peace Baby C, investigation still pending"

3/22/08: 2 month old Baby 'C' (Preston James Cheever) was laid to rest today, more than a week after his death, from blunt force trauma to his head says the El Paso County coroner's office. Police say an investigation into the death is under way.
As snow flakes fell around them, the family held the private service at a local cemetery.
According to the obituary, donations and contributions may be sent in care of Preston James Cheever, 1025 Western Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80915.

"Over-Under... you've got to check it all"

3/22/08: - Yesterday's media coverage of the over-the-bridge one car on its hood accident was only one part of the whole picture. Most media reported it as a single car accident... but did you know, if you looked on top of the bridge it crashed over... there were a number of other vehicles involved in a crash, including a city vehicle, most likely due to that single car crash, because they were there at the same time as the guardrail spill.  So... while most were looking down... the following was happening if you looked up...

"Did Julie Penrose bust up the Three Amigos?"

3/22/08: - A bit of off-the-wall local history -

You know how some wives are jealous of their husband's friends?  Yes... it happens.  Well, do you think that was the case with Broadmoor guy, Spencer Penrose?

Penrose who was a man about town, and a prominent member of our local society, had two buddies, that according to some sources made a pact with Spencer Penrose to never marry, and always hang together.

Well, I guess Julie saw to it that didn't happen... marrying Spencer in London after some say, aggressively pursuing this well to do guy after her first husband died.

Anyway... the two were married, but Julie wasn't able to keep the Three Amigos apart, forever.

Did you know that Penrose's two bachelor friends are buried with Spencer and Julie in the floor of Penrose's 'Will Rogers Shrine' above Cheyenne Mountain Zoo?

That tomb contains the remains of Spencer Penrose, Julie Penrose, and on opposite sides... Penrose's bachelor buddies who never did marry, Harry Leonard and Horace Devereux.  The Three Amigos are together... forever.
