"Contemplating packing up their winter camp"

3/19/1868: Today a group of Ute Indians, currently maintaining a winter camp
near the entrance of Garden of the Gods, met to contemplate the date they will
pack up camp and move to another location in the valley. The group elders
met for more than 2 hours, weighing the pros and cons of an early move.
In a 6-3 vote, it was decided to remain in this
area for at least one more month, so they could enjoy the glorious sunrises
they've grown so fond of.

"Pueblo cheerleaders gone wild?"

3/19/08: THE PUEBLO CHIEFTAIN is reporting:
A Pueblo City Schools spokesman confirmed Monday that a "student discipline
issue is in progress" concerning nude photos of freshmen girl cheerleaders at
Pueblo South High School.
"These photos were not taken at school or during school hours," said Casey
Mahon, a district spokesman.
Mahon would not give specifics on how many cheerleaders were involved or the
extent of their punishment.
"We don't have proof at this time that these so-called photos have made it into
the school," he said.
The Chieftain has learned that two freshmen girls recently sent nude photos of
themselves to male schoolmates via text messaging. One of the girls first sent
out a message with a photo of her buttocks in her cheerleading outfit, and then
would send her nude photo.
The cheerleading coach at South could not be reached for comment.
