"Flintridge Sq. murder-suicide, KKTV 1st on-scene"

3/19/08: I arrived early-on, driving west on Flintridge from Academy.  The CSPD were blocking Flintridge about two blocks east of the scene... so I shot a few pics from there, although there wasn't much to see except emergency vehicles parked across from the cul-de-sac, the actual scene of the crime.

I made my way further west, then drove east on Flintridge, arriving just a block west of the scene.  Already there was the KKTV LIVE van, with their news team shooting video and gathering info.  KKTV was the first TV news crew to arrive, and they were able to get some of the first witness accounts.  That type of news information gathering is what it's all about! They were at the right place, at the right time.  Here's some pics of KKTV in action.

"KZNT confirms absence of News Director and reporter"

3/19/08: That rumor I posted yesterday about Joe Myers and Molly Schmitt being let go over at KZNT News Talk 1460 is now confirmed.  I called KZNT and they provided that confirmation.  As I said, this surprises me because Joe is Mr. News in Colorado Springs, and Molly is one of the only news radio reporters I see at most of the news happenings in the area.
