"Gun shots, two dead outside while children in
house"
3/19/08: Police responded to a shooting call this afternoon in the 2800 block of
Flintridge Square. Upon their arrival they found a man and a woman dead in
the front yard, and two young children in the house, both unharmed. Early
reports claim it may be a murder-suicide, with a possible history of
disturbances associated with the address.
Also, one TV news station (KKTV) learned that a sign may have been recently
painted on the garage door, which could have been taken as derogatory in nature
toward the woman victim.
A female police officer stayed with the children
inside the home until DHS workers arrived and took them away.
Another sad situation occurred when the family's
small pet dog escaped from the back yard, and ran over to where the dead woman
lay, staying with the body for a short while until a police officer carried the
dog away. While being carried, the pet yelped the entire time until placed
back into the yard.
Warning: Photos may
be too extreme for some.
