News 13 "Festival of Lights Parade" float

A fair amount of snow fell all around the city on Saturday.  More than expected according to meteorologist Matt Meister, who explained the unexpected downpour on the News 13 nightly newscast.  Prior to that news segment, Meister, along with Jon Karroll and Nina Sparano spent the evening emceeing the "Festival of Lights Parade", which once again brought out one-heck-of-a-crowd.

KRDO-TV was one of the media sponsors, entering their float, while taking advantage of the recent firings by competitor KKTV, by thanking KKTV GM Charlie Peterson on the float. As seen above, the words "Thank you Charlie, watch our ratings now", were printed on their float, obviously thanking her for a managerial decision which they feel they can capitalize on in the ratings game.
