2 Dec 05KKTV terminator? Are more than just KKTV jobs in jeopardy???
KKTV GM Charlie Peterson as "The Terminator" In the original it was, "I'll be back". In this episode it's, "Watch your back"...
According to information found by News Blab, the new KKTV GM appears to use consultant study results as a strong basis for "making drastic changes". Word around the water cooler is that Peterson had consultants research the Springs market. The following words are from a person who apparently knows of Peterson's tactics. This discussion was about the big anchor shakeup;
"...in my own past dealings with this person, I can say this sounds like par for the course. That is, treating consultant "advice" like gospel and then making drastic changes to the product...not usually for the better, from what I've seen."
According to a reliable source, yesterday on a local radio show, a former employee at KKTV advised listeners that things were unstable prior to his departure. He also spoke of the consultant that was at the station while he was still there.
News Blab has also learned that Peterson may have a "Graphics Guru" that has traveled with her from station to station. In the words of this source;
"If you think the shakeup
at KKTV is bad now, wait until Charlie's "Graphics Guru" starts
making her changes.
And if you missed yesterday's News Blab blogicle, KKTV anchors out!" One final sweeps move, a sweep of Melissa & Eric?, you can check it out HERE.
