Will the KKTV Quonset Hut turn into

an Abandoned Ship?

From the ticker:

14 Nov - Did KKTV management have a "change-of-heart"?: Meteorologist Mike Madson was back at the station on Monday afternoon. This after he was purportedly "shown the door" late last week. Speculation is, a deal was made and Madson will appear through the November book, then will "resign"....

13 Nov - Is KKTV sweeping away people during Sweeps?: First Madson and now this, News Blab has learned that another KKTVer may have been "let go" the same day Mike Madson cleaned out his desk. KKTV/Gray managers may have "bent the rules" a bit to dismiss a photog. Those rules involved the photogs driving record. But the Gray handbook may not have been followed properly when the dismissal action was taken...

13 Nov - Madson Watch: Has KKTV Chief Meteorologist Mike Madson been seen on-air lately? Word is, he may have cleared out his desk after being seen exiting the GMs office. News Blab can not confirm this rumor with KKTV managers due to total tight-lipped tactics, but a second source has verified that Madson was "let go", very recently. Main anchors Brown and Singer are still on the news desk, but that is probably because it is currently November Sweeps, and they have been seen regularly. They are expected to be there each night by unsuspecting-viewers. Madson, on-the-other-hand, has not been seen regularly, with their other weather guys being put on-air more, instead. A forced departure of Madson during November Sweeps would not be as noticable using this tactic. If Madson IS gone, and Brown and Singer last through Sweeps, will KKTV be able to avoid a PR nightmare? Are they hoping the anchors will find other jobs on their own? A bad move by KKTV managers could cause the station to trail KRDO-TV in future ratings. Good for KRDO, but bad for KKTV. This is a developing story. Stay tuned...
