"KRDO news, TV & Radio delay the 2 hour delay"

4/7/08: Call it gun-shy (due to last week's
April Fools episode), call it asleep at the wheel, call it a lack of
coordination... whatever the reason; While KKTV, KOAA, and KXRM all reported the
Academy District school bus 2 hour delay either before the 6 a.m. hour, or just
after... KRDO News Channel 13 and KRDO News Radio didn't report this morning's 2
hour delay effecting District 20 until over a half-an-hour after the other news
organizations had reported it during their broadcasts and on their news crawls.
Did KRDO make the right call...???
"Bikers and Bikers"
4/6/08: What better way to close out the Sunday
Edition of News Blab... than with a couple of Fun Fotos. Here are a couple
of pics of some "bikers" I saw this weekend. Enjoy...

"Emergency Crews respond for Herculean effort"
4/6/08: A Sunday afternoon fire in a home on
Hercules Drive brought out fires crews from CSFD, officers from CSPD, response
crews from the Red Cross, EMTs from AMR, and news crews from the media.

"Prepping Tejon for 2-way"
4/6/08: This morning was spent prepping Tejon
Street for Monday's 2 way traffic change. In the early hours, crews
cleaned the surface and marked specific spots on the downtown area street for
the afternoon crews, who put new permanent street markings down.
While I was taking my pics, one girl approached
crews and asked them.... "Do you know where my car is? I parked it right
here last night." She turned out to be one of about a dozen people who had
their cars towed and impounded, ignoring, "No Parking" signs that were placed on
Tejon parking meters, the day before. Oh well...

Where's my car...???

"Hook em' up... and move em' out!"

4/6/08: Early Sunday morning police and tow
truck drivers were busily hook n' and book n' cars that were left along Tejon,
as the big Tejon-Two-Step is getting under way. Sunday is the day Tejon
will be transformed into a two-way street in places it hasn't been two-way for a
while. This is all happening in the downtown area. So... if you come
out and your car is no longer where you left it... on Tejon... then chances are
it's been impounded.
On Monday, drivers will need to start following
the new directions set for them... but I'm sure there will be plenty that end up
going the wrong way.. on the once right-way. We all know, some (spelled
many) Colorado Springs drivers are not the brightest bulbs in the box.
"Rings N Things"
4/6/08: With all this hoopla about the Olympic
Rings being in the news lately... I thought I might as well get a few of my own
in.
