This website was developed to help provide another side of the story about what's happening at Gold Hill Mesa. This new development is being built on an old gold mill where many heavy metals and toxic substances can still be found throughout the planned home building area.  What you see on their promotional website may not include some of the information found here, from documents and news coverage. It is best to have as much information as possible before making a decision.

To allow occupancy at Gold Hill Mesa, they must (according to a recent Gazette article):

1)  Level and cap the mine tailings to help prevent contact with the toxins.

2)  Dig each house yard three feet deep and line it with heavy plastic to provide a "barrier" between the families and the toxins.

3)  Not allow Gold Hill Mesa homeowners to plant vegetable gardens or fruit bearing trees.

As the guy in the commercial says, "That's not natural".
